Alastair Blake, MD: Fellow, UK Care Quality Commission

Dr. Alastair Blake is a British physician with an interest in health systems and policy making.   He graduated in 2009 with a BA in Physiology and Neuroscience and in 2012 with a MB/BChir (MD) both from the University of Cambridge, UK. 
 
After graduating from medical school, he undertook a residency in Internal Medicine at hospitals across London before undertaking a yearlong national policy fellowship at England’s healthcare regulator, the Care Quality Commission.  Here, he developed new approaches for regulating integrated care organizations, and worked on the future strategy of UK healthcare regulation.
 
Alastair is currently an MBA student at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania where he is a Thouron Scholar.  After graduation, he plans to join McKinsey & Co. in New York as an Associate in the Healthcare practice.
