Andrew Ziskind, MD

Dr. Ziskind has more than 25 years of experience in clinical care and academic health system leadership. He is an MGH-trained interventional cardiologist with extensive clinical and administrative experience. He has developed and led innovative primary care and specialty delivery systems that span both academic medical centers and community hospitals and their affiliated physicians and has extensive experience in accountable care, payment reform and population health. Dr. Ziskind has functioned as a national and international consultant and was recognized by Consulting Magazine as one of the 25 most influential consultants in 2013.

During his career, Dr. Ziskind served as Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs and Health System Vice President at the University of Washington and then as President of Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Group President at BJC Healthcare. As a consultant, he has focused heavily on academic health system strategic and operational transformation, including optimizing governance, faculty practice operations, and clinical performance across the continuum for academic health systems and their affiliated entities. In 2016, he assumed the role of Senior Vice President leading Premier’s Academic Strategy.
